Welcome to a world of wonder and photography gallery discovery, where the age-old art of Madeiran boat building comes to life before your very eyes.
Here in our media gallery, we invite you to embark on a journey through time and tradition, as we explore the beauty and cultural significance of these remarkable vessels.

Our collection of photo and video gallery offers a window into the soul of Madeira’s maritime heritage, capturing the essence of an island steeped in seafaring lore.
And at the heart of this journey lies the VADIA Boat, a shining example of the art and science of traditional boat building.
Here, you’ll find a wealth of media including our upcoming boat reconstruction event, showcasing the intricate process of shaping the planks, carving the bow and stern, and selecting the perfect wood.
But that’s not all – we’re also excited to offer a glimpse behind the scenes of our documentary project, featuring interviews with local community members working closely to capture the essence of Madeira’s maritime culture.
Through these photos and videos, you’ll experience the magic of traditional boat building and documentary making in a way that few ever do. You’ll feel the sun on your face and the salt in the air, as the skilled craftsmen work their magic and bring this remarkable vessel to life.
