Our Special Thanks

It takes a village to create something truly special, and we are so grateful to an entire community of talented, passionate individuals who are coming together to support our boat project.

From musicians and artists to food producers, designers, craftsmen, and more, we owe a debt of gratitude to each and every one.

The support we receive from local musicians and venues is nothing short of amazing. Their beautiful performances and premisses set the perfect tone for the project and added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience.

Our many artists works showcasing the beauty of Madeira’s cultural heritage, they are true masters of their craft. Their paintings and sculptures are a visual feast that captivates the imaginations of everyone who attends.

We are also grateful to the food producers who provide delicious refreshments to keep us going. Fresh, locally sourced produce; a perfect complement to our upcoming events, and we can’t thank them enough for their contributions.

The designers who help create marketing and promotional materials are true wizards of creativity, and their skills helped us promote our project to a wider audience.

Of course, the craftsmen who lend their expertise and skill to the boat reconstruction process are the real heroes of this story. They work tirelessly to bring the VADIA boat back to life. Their dedication to the art and science of boat building is nothing short of inspirational.

We are also grateful to the local fishing community members who share their knowledge and passion for Madeiran boat building. Their stories and insights help us understand the cultural significance of these remarkable vessels and deepen our appreciation for Madeira’s rich maritime heritage.

We also owe a special debt of gratitude to the artist-in-residence programme coordinators who helped us to capture the essence of Madeira’s maritime culture. Their creativity and talent helped us bring this project to life.

Finally, we would like to thank all our sponsors, whose financial or in-kind support made the entire event, documentary and future VADIA projects truly possible. Without their generosity and belief in our vision, none of this would be possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to express our sincere appreciation and love to everyone who supports this arts project. Your contributions are making a lasting impact on our local boating community, and we are forever grateful for your support.
